What Our Students Say

Ruchi Koval is the co-founder and director of the Jewish Family Experience in Cleveland. She is a certified parenting coach, educator, author, musician, and motivational speaker. Her first book, “Conversations with G-d,” was released in 2016. Ruchi was a recipient of the CJN’s 18 Difference Maker award in 2015. Course Overview:

This transformative new course, flexibly designed for all learners, is the second offering from internationally acclaimed Ruchi Koval based on her book, Soul Construction, and many additional sources. In these turbulent times for the Jewish community, participants will explore timely topics and come to understand the Mussar concepts both theoretically and practically.

Participants will explore six dynamic middot-based topics:

Gevurah / Strength, restraint, courage, pride Gain the strength, resilience, and pride needed to tackle today’s challenges head-on.
Achrayut / Responsibility and Achdut / Community connection Discover your responsibilities to the Jewish community and beyond, fostering a sense of connection and unity.
Nedivut / Generosity and Rachamim / Compassion Cultivate generosity and compassion towards yourself and others, enriching your spiritual journey.
Shetikah / Silence and Difficult Conversations Learn the power of silence and other Mussar-based tools to navigate challenging conversations with grace.
Bitachon /Trust in God and Simcha /Joy Explore how trust and joy intersect, guiding you through life’s ups and downs with resilience.
Savlanut / Patience and Zerizut / Enthusiasm Strike a balance between patience and enthusiasm. When should we move quickly and when is being patient most appropriate?
