Alan Morinis is widely considered to be a leader in the resurgence of contemporary Mussar. Born into a culturally Jewish, non-observant home, he studied anthropology at Oxford University on a Rhodes Scholarship. He teaches, writes curriculum, and speaks frequently. His books include Climbing Jacob’s Ladder, Everyday Holiness, and With Heart in Mind.

4. The Jewish Approach: Tzelem Elokim
Explore the profound concept of being created in the image of God (Tzelem Elokim). Discover how this foundational teaching shapes Jewish ethics and challenges us to view ourselves and others through the lens of divine potential.
5. Conscience and Compass: Redeeming Shame
Shame often stifles growth, but in this session, you’ll learn how to redeem it as a tool for moral and spiritual awakening. Develop a conscience rooted in self-awareness and compassion.
6. Developing Awareness of the Divine Image Within and its Implications: Becoming Holy
Reflect on what it means to be created in the image of God and how this awareness transforms our relationships, actions, and aspirations.
